Since 2005, The Redford Center has produced and supported more than 400 feature-length and short films. Across our programs, we provide funding, commission and produce films, and partner with industry leaders to bring crucial environmental stories to life.
Redford Center Grant Films
Since 2016, Redford Center Grants has awarded more than $2 million to 60 independent environmental documentaries, helping filmmakers bring award-winning films to leading festivals and platforms worldwide.
Impact Fund Films
The Redford Center’s Impact Fund provides substantial financial support to exceptional environmental films in their finishing and impact stages. Through an invite-only nomination process, we identify and support the most promising 3-5 environmental film projects poised for innovative impact each year.
Nature Connection Pitch Finalist Films
In partnership with the REI Cooperative Action Fund, these films highlight communities restoring our relationship with the natural world and the health, belonging, and resilience that grow from it.

Fiscally Sponsored Films
Through our fiscal sponsorship program, The Redford Center helps independent filmmakers raise and manage charitable funding while retaining full ownership and creative control of their work.
Redford Center Productions
Since 2005, The Redford Center has produced three award-winning feature documentaries and more than 40 short films. Redford Center films and impact campaigns have halted the construction of dirty coal plants, restored the Colorado River Delta, reconnected people to nature, and helped accelerate the clean energy revolution and clean transportation solutions in communities across America.
Climate Solutions Short Films
In 2025, The Redford Center and partners supported four Climate Solutions Films featuring Indigenous women at the forefront of decolonization movements and reforestation efforts working toward climate solutions in their communities.
Power The Vote Short Film Series
Through our former Power the Vote initiative, we amplified the voices of frontline activists, storytellers, culture-makers, and trusted movement leaders. The collection featured two distinct short film series representing 11 U.S. states and highlighting stories that expanded perceptions of what it means to be an environmentalist and a voter.
Youth Stories
During its run, our Youth Stories program provided nearly 400 educators with our free adaptable youth filmmaking curriculum, inspire over 800 youth filmmakers to find their voice, receive over 500 film submissions from students across the globe, and connect students with industry experts and advocacy leaders through our Meet the Moment events.
