Adaptation
At a time when doomsday narratives dominate our collective imagination about the future of the environment, scientist and National Geographic Explorer Dr. Alizé Carrère goes around the world to explore stories of ADAPTATION that elevate human resourcefulness, connectivity and resilience.
ADAPTATION is a PBS Digital docuseries that explores how communities around the world are responding to climate change through innovative, place-based solutions. Moving from locally driven, low-tech adaptations to systemic, longer-term responses shaped by shifts in policy and legal rights, the series reveals how resilience is built at multiple scales. Hosted by climate adaptation scientist Dr. Alizé Carrère, ADAPTATION reframes climate change as a human, cultural and political story. Together, the episodes offer a hopeful yet honest portrait of resilience at a moment when climate impacts are accelerating.
