Nature Connection
Stories that reconnect us to the natural world.
Across cultures and communities, people have long found connection, meaning, and belonging in the natural world.
Nature is not separate from us. It is part of who we are.
We believe storytelling can deepen and expand that connection, shaping a broader cultural understanding of nature as essential to our individual and collective well-being. Through our Nature Connection program, we support films and filmmakers exploring the many ways people experience, sustain, and restore relationships with the natural world.
These stories reveal how access to nature supports physical, mental, spiritual, and community health while also helping us create more equitable and interconnected spaces. They illuminate the leaders, communities, and traditions new and old that nurture deep relationships with land, water, and the outdoors, while expanding the narrative of who belongs in nature and how that connection is expressed.
By uplifting these perspectives through storytelling, we hope to help foster a cultural shift that recognizes connection to the natural world as essential to human and planetary survival.
