Maria Horgan is an award-winning story producer with a writing and development background. She recently returned to Dublin after 10 years in Buenos Aires where she worked as a writer and development producer and also gave a workshop for INCAA’s (the Argentine film board) documentary incubation unit. Previously, Maria consistently produced and executive produced high quality, acclaimed documentary work including three series of ‘The Family Silver’ and the single documentaries’ ‘Remember Me’ and ‘Crash’. More recently she co-produced the multi-award-winning podcast, Where is George Gibney? for BBC Sounds. Her most recent project was the international feature documentary ‘Housewife of the Year’ which she developed and produced for Little Wing Films. It premiered at CPH:DOX in 2024, won Best Documentary at the Galway Film Fleadh and earlier this year was released at New York’s Quad cinema.
