Hyacinth Parker has travelled extensively through Cuba, India, South Africa, and South East Asia, ultimately living for a year in Jogjakarta, Indonesia. In Jogjakarta, she witnessed the tension between rapid urbanization and the preservation of traditional farming practices. Hyacinth’s global perspective has given her insight into what compels people from all backgrounds. Hyacinth’s unique experiences, from working with Batik artists in Indonesia to graffiti artists in Brazil, have deepened her understanding of diverse cultures and global trends. Throughout her career, Hyacinth has explored the intersection of art, culture, technology, and politics and used her broad outlook and perspectives to create stories that impact and connect with audiences. She is interested in creating content that comes from unusual places and resonates across the human experience.
