Celia Byrne

Program Officer

Celia Byrne (she/her) is a Program Officer at The Redford Center, a San Francisco-based organization working at the intersection of environmental impact and independent film. She oversees the flagship documentary grantmaking program, Redford Center Grants, supporting one of the few initiatives that exclusively fund independent environmental documentaries. In addition to her role in artist support, she is a Psyched! Radio host and the Producer of the short films Community Power Nevada: Unidxs En Acción (2021) and The Edge of the Light (2023).

Celia holds a BA in Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies from the University of Kansas. In her previous roles, she organized and supported Nobel Peace Prize Forums in Minneapolis and Oslo, as well as multiple international high-level energy and climate dialogues with Citizens’ Climate Lobby at both COP22 and COP23. 

Outside of her work, she can be found exploring her favorite 7×7 city with her four-legged sidekick, Winslow.
