Black Ice

Amid the flat landscape of Tennessee, a climbing and community center — appropriately named “Memphis Rox” — refuses to turn anyone away; this is a place where all people, regardless of physical ability or financial situation, are warmly welcomed and granted access to world-class climbing routes and gear. In Black Ice, a group of aspiring Memphis Rox climbers of color are invited to the frozen wilds of Montana to learn ice climbing from mentors Manoah Ainuu, Conrad Anker, and Dr. Fred Campbell in what unfolds to be a story of discovered shared love for winter adventure.
