Sam Bowlin (he/him) is the Digital Communications & Marketing Manager with The Redford Center. Throughout his career, Sam has focused on using compelling storytelling to bring attention to important environmental issues by raising awareness, encouraging support, and emphasizing the importance of community engagement. His experience spans coastal sustainability and policy research with nonprofits Sea Grant and the Environmental Defense Fund, habitat-focused conservation and communications with nonprofit WildLandscapes International, and resource recovery marketing and public education with Recology.
When he’s not working, Sam enjoys procrastinating his creative writing projects by spending time outdoors, either backpacking, skiing, or wandering through the Presidio. During any of these outings, there’s usually a well-worn sci-fi paperback tucked in his backpack.
