Breathe

Breathe exists in the not-too-distant future, where man-made climate change (depicted in Tree) has caused a deficit of resources, leading to war in the usually sheltered West.

Breathe exists in the not-too-distant future, where man-made climate change (depicted in Tree) has caused a deficit of resources, leading to war in the usually sheltered West. The experience transforms you into Rose, a young girl orphaned by war – the same young girl from Giant. Through her eyes, participants witness key moments of her life as she ages, each with a distinct experience embodying what it means to be human. You follow Rose until her death, and with her last breath you begin to dissolve into particles. Each exhale emits stardust and you experience the birth of the universe. A new beginning. Breathe begins as an individual experience and by the end it grows into a social experience where the audience, united by the power of their breath co-creates the entire universe. Breathe is the final installment in a VR trilogy exploring the colossal power of the human spirit.
