Jen Leung

Deputy Director

Jen Leung is the Deputy Director at The Redford Center. As an advocate for social and environmental justice, she believes in the power of stories to activate change. She brings with her experience as a climate campaigner using mass media to spark social movements, as a legal advocate empowering vulnerable communities to fight injustice, and as a non-profit leader who has led strategic growth initiatives.

Prior to The Redford Center, Jen was Climate Director at WildAid, an international environmental and wildlife conservation non-profit, and China Director for the American Bar Association’s Rule of Law Initiative, a human rights and social justice organization.  She is a member of the New York Bar and holds a J.D. from Berkeley Law School and a B.A. from Williams College.  In a former life she was an attorney and economist working on international business, policy, and regulatory issues in New York and Hong Kong. She currently lives in the East Bay with her husband, their rescue dog, a flock of chickens, and is humbled daily in her efforts to learn permaculture practices in building her urban farm.
