ACTIVITIES
FAQs
How many professionals will participate?
The program is limited to twenty participants, selected based on their experience and demonstrated level of commitment to innovative leadership, action, and learning.
Do I need to prepare anything before the retreat?
Yes. Participants will receive a collection of short readings to review before the event. These materials will lay important groundwork—allowing everyone to hit the ground running when we assemble on Sunday evening.
Do I need to attend all sessions?
Yes. All participants are considered key contributors, essential to the learning experience, and are expected to be present for all sessions, starting Sunday night at dinner and concluding Wednesday at noon.
Will there be any free time?
There will be very limited free time. The nature of the program and its pace precludes time for other activities during the three days retreat. Participants are welcome to plan leisure time with family or friends in advance of, or at the conclusion of, the program. Guests and spouses are not encouraged to be present during the retreat, as we will be working through most meals.
Where will the retreat take place?
The retreat will take place at the Sundance Resort, located at the base of Mount Timpanogos in the heart of the Wasatch Mountain Range. It is a full-service, year round community for recreation, community, and the arts.
What is the best way to get to Sundance?
The Salt Lake City International Airport is a 55-minute drive from Sundance. The preferred sedan service for Sundance Resort is Medallion Limousine 801-364-8788. Transfers to and from the airport are $100 each way for up to 4 passengers. The concierge staff at the Sundance Resort can help participants with all transportation needs. To schedule shuttle service at the Resort, please call the front desk at 801-223-4020.
Can you accommodate special dietary needs?
Yes. Please make a note on your application of anything we should know regarding special dietary needs, and we will be sure to make the appropriate arrangements with the Sundance Resort catering staff.
What is the dress code?
In keeping with the Sundance ambience, please wear casual and comfortable clothing. The weather will likely be warm, but please consult www.weather.com or www.wxusa.com for updated forecasts and pack accordingly. Be sure to include a set of clothing suitable for an active and possibly “messy” art activity, as well as clothing and footwear appropriate for a non-strenuous outdoor activity, such as an easy walk or hike. We recommend bringing hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen.
